That's a perfect summer for me!

Zebra

Ein Zebra Hut - so einer stand schon Ewigkeiten (okay, seitdem ich dieses und weitere Bilder von Abbey Lee bei der Pariser Fashion Week im letzten Herbst gesehen habe) auf meiner "Will-haben-Liste"... Und tatsächlich:
Als ich letztens im örtlichen Accezorise war und gerade beschlossen habe den Laden zu verlassen, sehe ich in der Mitte einen Hutständer, ich schaue nach unten und genau dort, gaaanz unten hängt er! DER ZEBRA-SONNENHUT! Als ich dann noch den Preis von 7,45€ (-70%!!!) entdeckt habe war natürlich klar, dass mir nichts anderes übrig bleibt als ihn einfach mitzunehmen! ;-)

A zebra hat - something which is in my want-list for ages! Well, actually since I saw this and other pictures of Abbey Lee  at the Paris fashion week last autumn!...
And finally I got my hands on one! But it's a sun hat and not a "real" hat like Abbey's! I went into the local Accezorise and already was on the way to leave the shop again, but then I suddenly saw in the middle a rack with hats, I looked down and saw it! THE ZEBRA HAT! Then I saw the price (7,45€, marked down for 70%) and of course had to take it with me!

Inspiration: Vogue July 2003

Ich habe gerade dieses schöne Bild bei fashiongonerogue.com (in einem Post von Juli 2009) gefunden. Irgendwie bin ich fasziniert von dem Bild, ich mag die Farben, die Blumen, das Zusammenspiel der Models Elise Crombez und Julia Stegner und das Spiel mit hell und dunkel! Außerdem passt es wunderbar in den Sommer! Das Bild ist aus dem Editorial "Print and Pattern" von 2003, veröffentlicht in der italienischen Vogue und geschossen von Steven Meisel. Leider sind die restlichen Bilder aus dem Editorial, meiner Meinung nach, nicht mal annähernd so gut. Ich könnte mir dieses Bild wirklich sehr gut vergrößert an meiner Wand vorstellen!

Just found this photography at fashiongonerogue.com (in a post from july 2009). I'm really fascinated - I like the colours, the flowers, the interaction between the two models Elise Crombez and Julia Stegner and the play with light and dark. Plus it perfectly fits into summer! The photography is from the editorial "Print and Pattern" from 2003, published in Italian Vogue and shot by Steven Meisel. Unfortunately it is the only photo I like from this editorial - the other ones are nowhere as good as this one! I could imagine this one in a huge size on my wall!

AMAZING editorial

Leider kann ich euch zur Zeit nur mit Inspirationsposts versorgen, aber demnächst werden ganz sicher andere kommen ;D Es stehen nur noch drei Prüfungen an: Zeichnen, Bildjournalismus und Typography! Und glücklicherweise habe ich schon fast alle Arbeiten dafür fertig :) Die vier schwarz/weiß Fotos aus dem letzten Post sind übrigens für die Bildjournalismus-Prüfung, aber es gab noch drei weitere Themen.

Nächste Woche (27.3) fahre ich für einige Tage nach Berlin. Das erste Mal, weil ich die Stadt nie sonderlich anziehend fand und auch immernoch nicht so ganz überzeugt bin...Aber immerhin habe ich es schon geschafft mir einige Museen auszusuchen, die ich mir wahrscheinlich anschauen werde: das Museum für Fotografie, das Bauhaus-Archiv und das Technik-Museum :D (Ich stehe total auf Museen, bei denen man etwas ausprobieren kann, als ich in London war habe ich ganze zwei Tage im Natural History Museum verbracht :D) Jedenfalls hat mir eine Freundin die Museen empfohlen, sie war dort vor zwei Wochen.

Ich wollte aber auch in Berlin ein bisschen shoppen gehen, vielleicht könnt ihr mir ein paar Orte empfehlen? :) Ich bin übrigens über das Wochenende da, vielleicht gibt es zu der Zeit einen netten Flomarkt? :)

Und noch eine Bitte hätte ich, kann mir jemand sagen ob man jede Änderung in meinen Posts bei Google Reader sieht? o.O

I'm sorry for only posting inspiration posts, I promise there will be other posts soon ;D There are only three exams left: drawing, photojournalism and typography! Luckily I finished almost all work for them :) The four b/w photos are the one I chose for the photojournalism exam, but there'll also be other ones.


Next week (27.3) I'm going to visit Berlin. It's my first time there - I must admit I have never been attracted by this city and I'm still not convinced how this trip will be. I already chose some museums which seem quite interesting to me and which I'm definitely going to visit: the photography museum, the bauhaus-archive and the technics museum :D (I'm totally into museums where you can try out different things, when I was in London e.g. I spend two days in the natural history museum :D) A friend of mine was in Berlin two weeks ago and recommended these museums to me.


But I also wanted to go shopping there, maybe you can recommend me some good places? I'll stay there over the weekend, maybe there is a nice flea market then? :)

Metropolis

Did anyone see this film two weeks ago, broadcasted live from the International Film Festival in Berlin? Well I did, although i didn't want to see it. But luckily my little brother did...He thought it's funny to watch a film which is almost 80 years old...he didn't like it by the way... :D Hmm, but what about me? The first minutes I was busy with something else, but that didn't work - you just cannot watch a silent film AND doing something else :D So I stopped the other thing and concentrated on the film...And I was surprised! The story was interesting, the music was great (Orchestra!) and so on... But the most amazing about it was the setting:

Although it's only January I'm already thinking about summer. Maybe it's because of the terrible cold we have right now. It's snowing for almost 2 weeks now and the temperature is about 0°C.Very unusual for this part of Germany...I'm not sure if there has been snow last year!

Found this beautiful shots on tfs - love the whole atmosphere and I wish could already wear tops, dresses and show more skin.

Wer etwas erleben will, muß viel Zeit im Bett verbringen.
